Enclosing the Breezeway Project Construction 2008 photos
It's
been something we've wanted for a long time - more inside seating, a
large space for private parties, and music venue space. That's
what this construction project is all about. Our original space
included a breezeway that you entered through. Ahead was the
garden; to the right the "tank room" where our wine is made and to the
left, the wine tasting area and Bistro. The "breezeway" was
a nice area, particularly when the weather was nice, but when it was
cold or the wind was blowing, well, it was breezy to say the
least. Now that's history.
Construction started the beginning of March and we anticpate the building phase to be completed by the end of April.
Things are moving right along. The breezeway gives us 900
additional square feet of indoor space. There will be a new front
"air lock" entry. Customers will enter through a door on the west
of the shed attachment into a comfortably sized entry complete with
seating bench and then enter the former breezeway area through double
doors.
If there is a private party in the "breezeway", the public can still
have access to the wine tasting area without disturbing the private
party. We have added a door to the left - just follow the new
walkway for this "public entrance" when the "breezeway" has a private
party.
Another aspect of this project is improvements in the garden area.
We're adding patio paving just outside the "breezeway" and Bistro
garden room. There will be new plantings to enhance our outdoor
seating. Just in time for our Wine Down Fridays. Check it
out for yourself.
